About Erica Macero, LCSW-S

Hi! I’m Erica, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor providing virtual therapy in Texas and Connecticut. For over 10 years, I’ve helped teens, young adults, and adults navigate life’s challenges in a variety of settings — including private practice, treatment centers, and hospitals. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping you create lasting change.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and co-occurring disorders, including substance use. Whether you’re struggling to manage overwhelming emotions, feeling stuck in old patterns, or unsure of your next step, therapy can help you find clarity and confidence. Together, we’ll work to uncover the root causes of your struggles, build healthier coping strategies, and help you feel more grounded and in control of your life.

I offer individual therapy for teens and adults, available online, to fit your schedule. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood and empowered to make meaningful changes

My Approach

My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe that meaningful change begins with self-understanding and compassion, so our work together focuses on uncovering the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck. I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and attachment-based therapy to help you build emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and develop practical tools for coping with life’s challenges.
